We continue the tour as we head for a location 20 minutes from Split that was caught on camera many times during Game of Thrones Season Four, the unmistakable Klis Fortress. The fort offers some breathtaking views across the city of Split and the valleys and is known in the real world for seating several Croatian Kings. Guests can climb to the peak of the fortress to witness where the city’s previous rulers were nailed to crosses for the town’s people to see. It was here that viewers would recall seeing Daenerys in her throne room, training her dragons. This is also where season four’s Kill the masters scene takes place when the slaves are sat discussing whether to flee or fight.
