Covid-19 safety measures

Your health and safety are our top priorities at Black Cab Heritage Tours. We’ve implemented the following special measures to keep you safe both during and after your tour:

Private Tours: London Black Cabs have a maximum seating capacity for up to 6 guests in a private setting. This capacity is ideal for couples and small family groups.

Stringent Cleaning: Each guide sanitises their black cab with disinfectant cleaning agents after each tour activity. The passenger area has separately controlled air-conditioning. Driver Guides wash and sanitise their hands on a frequent basis throughout the day. In addition, hand sanitizer is available to all guests.

Social Distancing: A transparent partition screen provides a private passenger compartment, providing a safe space for guests. This exceeds the current 2 metres minimum distance based on UK Government guidelines. Our drivers promote panoramic sightseeing in the safest and cleanest form of London transport. Presentation stops are conducted in quiet open air locations, away from crowded hot spots.

The Diagon Alley gets some of its shots from Leadenhall Market. This market remains one of the oldest markets having its roots from the 14th century.

2. Borough Market / The Leaky Cauldron

London’s Borough Market serves as the location of the Leaky Cauldron in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Dating back to the 12th century, its centuries-old buildings and bustling atmosphere make it the perfect place to hide a magical pub!

South of the Thames, and just a short distance from London Bridge tube station, Borough Market is the perfect place for any Potter fan to take a stroll and soak up the Wizarding World.

Walking along Stoney Street, make sure to stop at No.7, a small flower shop under the railway bridge called Chez Michele. This is the real-life location of the Leaky Cauldron. Also on Stoney Street, just next door at No.8, is another shopfront that might look familiar. This building was also used for the Third Hand Emporium and appeared in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It was here that Harry first met the hapless Gilderoy Lockhart and the sinister Lucious Malfoy.

And while you’re here, make sure to explore all the wonderful things this market has to offer. Among the countless stalls you’ll be sure to find produce from far and wide. Whether you’re looking for fresh fruit, souvenirs to bring back home, or just a quick cup of coffee, the market has you covered!

5. Scotland Place / Ministry of Magic
