Our private tour guide will show you around the most memorable filming locations on the Hairy Feet Waitomo Hobbit Tour
The Hairy Feet Waitomo Hobbit Tour begins at the abandoned farmhouse showcased in Trollshaw. Although Gandalf wasn’t so keen on the idea, the Company decide to setup camp for the night at the devastated structure. Embrace the cave exit to where the Troll Hoards go to stay out of the sun, this cave is where Bilbo finds a use for the key he had obtained to unlock the large stone door. Visit the location where we first saw Radagast guarding the Greenwood Forest before he took the sick hedgehog and nursed it back to health.
Experience first-hand where the Orc army and wargs planned their ambush on Thorin and the Company before Gandalf ignited pinecones with fire to try and put a stop to the attack. Although Bilbo was reluctant to take the Elvish blade, your final stop is where you’ll visit the exact same spot that he received the almighty ”Sting”.
