Operation Anthropoid Tour in Prague

The World War II Operation Anthropoid with its course and consequences is one of the most heroic and tragic story in modern Czech history. The Czechoslovak paratroopers who assassinated the Reichsprotektor Reinhard Heydrich in May 1942 and died in the crypt of St. Cyril and Methodius Church in Prague are seen as heroes today.

Now you can explore the historical locations as well as the filming sites of Operation: Daybreak (1975) and Anthropoid (2016) featuring Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders) and Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades) on this Operation Anthropoid Tour in Prague. We visit the crypt of the St. Cyril and Methodius Church where the paratroopers defended themselves for hours and at the end rather committed suicide than being captured by the Nazis. Then we drive to the curve where the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich actually took place.
